Background Hemophilia is a hereditary blood clotting disorder that is inherited in an x-linked
recessive manner. Hemophilia sufferers should ensure that they continue to receive injections of
clotting factor concentrate two to three times a week to prevent bleeding in order to reduce and
avoid complications (Miftafu Darussalam, 2022). Family support can impact physical and mental
health through emotional education, cognitive development, and behavioral education. The aim of
this research is to describe family experiences in providing support to children with hemophilia.
The design used in this research is qualitative research with a case study approach to explore
family support in the care of children with hemophilia at the Dr. Regional General Hospital.
Soedarso Pontianak. The research results show that family support in the form of informative
support, assessment support, emotional support and instrumental support significantly influences
the treatment of hemophilia in children.
