Background: one of the degenerative disease that occurs during pregnancy is
gestasional diabetes, gestasional diabetes will occur in the second and third
trimesterof pregnancy. Typically, the symptoms that will occur in gestasional
diabetes are polyphagia, polydipsia, and polyuria. In general, these symptoms are
the same as the symptoms of diabetes in general and other types of diabetes.
Research objective: to obtain an overview of the triad of diabetes mellitus in
pregnant women with gestasional diabetes.
Research method: this research method wa carried out using a qualitative case
study approach with two informants. The place of this research was carried out in
the working area of the UPTD health center, Pontianak city district, kampung bali.
Research results: in this study, the results showed that these two informantshad the
same syimptoms, including the informant feeling hungry often, and feelingfrequent
urination. So it can be said that the triad of diabetes mellitus will occur the same in
pregnant women, including polyphagia, polydipsia, polyuria.
