XI, 48+26HLM. Background : Labor pain is caused by uterine contractions and cervical dilatation, due to the increase in the volume of uterine contractions. Based on research by the Indonesian Ministry of Health in 2024, pregnant women in Indonesia experience severe labor pain with an average rate of 85-90%. Efforts to reduce labor pain can be done with non-pharmacological therapy, one of which is music therapy, which is a form of psychological therapy using music, sound, instruments and music technology to support people to understand themselves and make positive changes in their lives. Objective : To determine the effect of providing music therapy on the level of labor pain in 1st stage pregnant women at Santo Vincentius Hospital, Singkawang. Method : The method used uses qualitative case studies with a single case method to describe problems and focus on research. The research was conducted at the hospital. Santo Vincentius Singkawang from 30 May to 1 June 2024 involving 2 respondents. Data was collected from interviews, observations, field notes, photos and personal documentation. Results : The results of this study were successful in implementing music therapy intervention in reducing the pain level of pregnant women in the first stage of pregnancy at Santo Vincentius Hospital, Singkawang. The music therapy intervention carried out on two clients, namely Respondent 2 and Respondent 1, showed positive results in managing labor pain. Music therapy has been proven to have an effect in reducing the level of labor pain in pregnant women in the 1st stage of pregnancy at Santo Vincentius Hospital, Singkawang. This is evidenced by Respondent 1's pain scale decreasing from 6 vi (Great Pain) to 2 (Uncomfortable Pain), while Respondent 2's decreased from 7 (Very Severe Pain) to 2 (Uncomfortable Pain).
