Building Character
Education Values Through Meena in Sing 2 Movie. Supervisor: Wanda

The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the different
types of character education values exemplified by Meena's character in the
movie "Sing 2." This study uses a descriptive qualitative method to collect
the data; classify, analyze, and draw conclusions. The major subject of this
study is the character Meena from the movie ‘‘Sing 2’’. The data source for
this study is the movie ‘‘Sing 2’’ itself, in the form of movie screenplays.
The results of this study have two main character education values
represented by Meena from the movie Sing 2. Those are: Value of Being,
the findings showed there eight (8) times values of being represented in
Meena from Sing 2 movie. Value of Giving, the findings showed there fifth
(5) times values of giving represented in Meena from Sing 2 movie. It can
be conducted to explore more characters in movies or other media that have
the potential to teach character education values. Future researchers can use
various study methods, such as classroom action study or case studies, to
gain a deeper understanding of the effectiveness of using movie media in
character education.
