 <note>This research is conducted in order to investigate the idiomatic expressions used&#13;
in the Taylor Swift‟s album songs entitled &quot;Midnights&quot;. This research was done by&#13;
using qualitative research which focused on content analysis. The songs from&#13;
Taylor Swift‟s album, Midnights, were chosen as the data source in this research.&#13;
The data were analyzed by using the theory of Palmer (1976). The researcher&#13;
browsed the song album from internet, especially from spotify platform, seeking&#13;
the script lyrics of the song, listening and transribing. After that, the analysis of&#13;
the data covered reading, analyzing, identifying, classifying the types &amp; meaning&#13;
of idiomatics expressions found from the songs lyrics, and last was drawing&#13;
conclusion. After analyzing the data, the researchers found that there were three&#13;
idiomatic expressions depicted in the lyrics songs, they were phrasal verb idiom,&#13;
partial idiom and prepotional idiom. Phrasal verb idiom was the most dominant&#13;
with 37 data (67%), partial idiom with 5 data (9%), the lowest among others, and&#13;
prepotional idiom with 13 data (24%). Those were found 2 meaning in the song&#13;
lyrics, among others were denotative meaning, the most dominant with 50 data&#13;
(91%) and connotative meaning with 5 data (9%).</note>
