 <note>This study aims to determine the types and functions of expressive speech acts in&#13;
&quot;Fall&quot; movie. The subject of this research is the main character named Becky in&#13;
&quot;Fall&quot; movie. The method used by the researcher is descriptive qualitative. The data&#13;
were collected using document technique. To analyze the data, the researcher used&#13;
data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. The results of this study found&#13;
that 16 total expressive speech acts in the &quot;Fall&quot; movie expressed by the main&#13;
character named Becky, from 7 types of expressive speech acts, only 4 types of&#13;
expressive speech acts expressed by the main character, namely: thanking (2)&#13;
utterances, apologizing (9) utterances, deploring (2) utterances, complimenting (3)&#13;
utterances. There are three types of expressive speech acts that are not found,&#13;
