This research is descriptive qualitative. The theory used in this study is Nurgiantoro's and Kenan's theory. Research analysis of a poem by William Blake entitled the little black boy as the Subject. Data collection techniques used literature study. This study findings the black boy as the main character and dynamic character, the mother as the protagonist and static character, the english boy as a minor character, and the God as a flat character, and the ten indirect characterizations in the poem: sadness, spirit, tolerance, optimistic, friend, love and affection, justice, life, kindness, and happiness.
